Acrylic Buffing Compound

Used with a high speed buffing wheel, buffing compound is an essential product used to polish the edges of acrylic plexiglass.

Types:

• PBC (Blue): Buffing compound is the foundational buffing compound.  Applied directly to the buffing wheel of choice, the PBC will allow you to bring the edge of acrylic sheet to a brilliant crystal clear appearance. 
• LeRock (White):  LeRock Buffing Compound is our "fabricators favorite" compound. The LeRock is a medium grit compound that does an excellent job of polishing all acrylic sheet type edges.  
• Summers (White): Summers Buffing Compound is a finishing compound that is a finer grit compound.  Used in conjunction with PBC or LeRock, the Summers will complete the polishing of most acrylic sheeting. 

 

Technical Specifications: 

Buffing Machinery: The standard technique for acrylic buffing is with the Baldor Buffer.  Also available is our Arbor Adaptor, allowing a typical power hand drill to facilitate a buffing wheel.
